How This Site Is Put Together

Every performance claim on this site is written against one specific piece of hardware: the Rockchip RK3326, a quad-core Cortex-A35 running at 1.5GHz alongside a Mali-G31 GPU and 1GB of memory. That matters because the phrase “retro handheld” covers devices whose capabilities differ by an order of magnitude. A claim that a system runs well is meaningless without saying on what, so our platform pages state the emulator in use, the realistic frame rate, and the settings that change the outcome.

Where We Are Deliberately Negative

The easiest way to write an affiliate site is to describe everything as excellent. We have chosen not to do that, because the fastest way to lose a reader is to tell them a device does something it cannot. Our Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PSP pages all say plainly that the R36H is compromised on those platforms and that no firmware update will change it, because the limitation is the chipset. If those systems are your priority, we say so and point you towards a more capable tier of device — even though that advice earns us nothing.

What We Do Not Publish

• Prices. Amazon pricing changes constantly, and a number printed on a page is wrong within days. We link to the listing and let you see the live figure.
• Artificial urgency. No countdown timers, no stock warnings, no claims that an offer is ending. If a page pressures you, it is not helping you decide.
• Invented review counts or ratings. Where we describe community sentiment we describe it qualitatively rather than fabricating numbers.
• ROMs or game files. We explain folder structures, file formats and BIOS requirements. We do not host, link to or source copyrighted game files.
